Play the arcade classic Robotron: 2084 on your Palm OS or Pocket PC handheld. It's the year 2084. The robots we created have turned against us, and the only thing standing between the human race and annihilation is you. Luckily, you happen to be a genetic superman with a multidirectional laser. Do battle against multiple enemy types like Grunts, indestructible Hulks, evil Brains, and more. Fight through more than 250 levels of robot-frying mayhem. Easy, medium, and hard difficulty levels and a two-player mode add to the replay value.
This game blew me away!
Remember going to the arcade as a kid, changing your allowance into quarters, and dropping it all into that one game? Remember obsessing over that game when you didn't have the money to play? Remember putting every ounce of your being into perfecting that game, just so you can have your initials at the top of the high score list? Now you can have that feeling again, but this time you can experience it without the acne scarred face - just load Robotron 2049 into your Palm device!
Robotron drips with nostalgia and reeks of bygone memories. Nonetheless, behind that haze of nostalgia is solid gameplay and an amazing audio-visual experience. The graphics and sound of Robotron easily stands up to any Gameboy game. The bright neon image of hordes of killer robots will be burned into your retinas after hours of playing. The ultra realistic humans will have you scrambling to their rescue. The haunting sound effects will make you jump out of your chair. The sound of saving a relieved human will bring tear to your eye. Best of all, the constant sound of your laser gun will provide an aural experience you won't soon forget!
Robotron isn't all flash and crash, though - The gameplay is timeless fun. Destroying an endless stream of dastardly robots while saving the last human family over and over will provide hours upon hours of gameplay. Wave after wave of shooting and running will keep you glued to your Palm device. You'll never get tired of the frantic button pressing. You'd better clear your Palm's calendar, because you won't want appointment alerts interrupting Robotron's adrenaline filled gameplay! In fact, you might want to think about quitting your job! I just hope that's not the company's Palm you're using! Ha ha ha!
So clear your Palm, clear your desk, and clear your schedule, because you're going to love Robotron! Killing robots hasn't been this fun since Dr. Who fought the Daleks. Relive your childhood and let your life slip away - the Robots are coming!
Exactly What You Would Expect for $30
Lets be clear, you won't be using this to play the drums in your night band. This is budget drum throne, build solidly enough to support adults, but not something that is high in comfort or performance.
It's a vinyl covered seat, with standard foam padding. You will find the same construction type in something like a bar stool you would buy from target.
My biggest complaint is slight wobble or give once assembled. This is a design issue as the throne allows you to swivel, but it's a basic bolt mechanism.
A real drum throne with comfort and smooth swivel will cost hundreds of dollars. But for only 3-4 songs at a time this Rock Throne gets the job done.
Just be sure to budget your expectations along with your wallet.
Nice Product - Decent Price
This feels very sterdy and cushion is sufficiant. I'm 210 and don't feel like it has a problem handling my weight. This should compliment any one's Rock Band or Guitar Hero World Tour sessions.
Not for people with big butts.
I bought this thinking that it would be a good replacement for the hard, dining-room chair I've been using to play the drums for Rock Band 2. When I took it out of the box, put it together, (which, by the way, wasn't at all difficult) and sat down in it, I was slightly disappointed. It felt sturdy, (which is important because I weigh about 220) but the seat wobbled a bit. After playing a set or two on Rock Band, (about 20 minutes of play) I was really disappointed; my butt was already hurting. It became obvious that the seat just wasn't big enough to support me comfortably, and I would never be able to play for extended periods of time. I was better off using the dining-room chair.
Three Kingdoms Wars, China 189-235AD
A must for anyone who has read the Three Kingdoms classic story of the attempted unification of China after the fall of the Han Empire in 189 AD. Chose a historical character or create your own ruler and enter the game of empire building. Easy economic system with options to delegate one or more of the areas under your control to an AI advisor that follows your development policies for both economic development and regional military growth/improvement. Fast paced and enjoyable - well worth the expense of this older classical game.
