Best Racing Wheel I Ever Used5
This steering wheel is the best. I've used many different racing wheels, including others by thrustmaster, and they all worked well. The force feedback wheel is by far the most realistic wheel i have ever used. I used to do some stock car racing in my younger years and let me tell you, this wheel drives and responds like the real thing, assuming you have the force feedback options setup correctly in the game itself. When you get hit in the rear and go into a spin, you can feel every bump, spin and crack in the track. I highly recommend it!!!

    AWESOME Wheel5
This wheel has exceeded my expectations and then some. It has the PERFECT grip for either a .3 mile track, or a 5 mile track. It is also GREAT on road courses. The pedals are extremely comfortable and the button layout is great. I LOVE THIS WHEEL!!!! Best one ever.

    FOR SERIOUS ON LINE RACING5
My son loves racing on line with Nascar2003 and others...We have bought him many Logitech racing wheels. They are not bad, but the pedal shafts are made of plastic and break very easily. For roughly 25 cents, they could replace these with metal and greatly improve the longevity.

This Thrustmaster works better in every way. The shafts are metal and they last forever. The shifter makes for more realistic racing. If you have enthusiastic on line racers in your house choose this one, or keep buying new ones every 4 or 5 months. The first one we bought 18 months ago still works fine. Just bought another so two can race at the same time in our house!

    From the manufacturer
Thrustmaster is proud to unveil the world’s first five-axis, three-pedal Force Feedback racing wheel and pedal set. The Rally GT Force Feedback Pro Clutch Edition is so complete you may find yourself looking for the indicator switch! This groundbreaking three-pedal model is based on the massively popular RGT FFB Pro – the first five-axis wheel and pedal set on the market. The new model features a new full-size sequential gearshift knob, two new reinforced wheel-mounted sequential levers, twin wheel-mounted progressive levers, Force Feedback and belt-driven gear system with new metal collar, and now three adjustable pedals. The RGT FFB Pro Clutch Edition provides all the sensations of real driving – use the brake pedal with natural resistance, work the clutch, balance your power slides, throw the car into turns… and leave your opponents in the dust!

    Your choice of driving style

The RGT Pro Clutch Edition caters equally well for demanding simulation drivers and novice gamers. Users can switch between using five axes and four axes with all three pedals via a switch located behind the base of the wheel, while Force Feedback can easily be toggled on and off with a press of a button. Advanced drivers can even set up the pedals for ‘heel-and-toe’ downshifting.

    A new level of realism

State-of-the-art features, advanced functionality and superior build quality put the RGT FFB Pro Clutch Edition at the front of the grid. Gamers can not only get the most out of new racing games, but also rediscover their old titles, playing in a whole new, more realistic way.

    Don't bother2
I got this wheel to replace a momo red. I had high hopes but was quickly dissapointed when I took it out of the box and clamped it to my desk. The wheel was flimsy side to side (like it would brake off the shaft). It WAS quiet, but the force modelling was ridiculous with N2k3, fFactor and Live for Speed 2. It had some play in the middle which was extremely annoying. The advertisement for this product says that it is 270 degree rotation but it is only 240 !! Doesn't sound like a lot but it is!!

I talked to Thrustmaster support and they gave me a bunch of silly things to try to eliminate the dead zone but nothing helped so they said return it.

To be honest, I know you have to get used to a new wheel so I gave it a week of hard use and started to get used to it. I said "I can live with this I guess". Then,,,, POP! Something broke inside. Sounds like the belt drive. :(

Given that this thing feels cheaply made there was no way it was going to last like my Momo ($70 5 years ago!!). I returned it. Don't waste your money. At least go for a Driving force pro. Even the black Momo is better than this thing.

This could have been a great wheel3
My black MOMO died, pedals quit working, so I needed a new wheel. I've had good luck with thrustmaster wheels in the past so I bought the Pro Clutch Edition. Basic setup was easy. I have two basic problems with the new wheel. First and worst is the mounting of the wheel to the desk. For the life of me I can't tighten the clamp enough to keep the wheel from "rocking back and forth" when you use it in a game. This is very disconcerning when trying to race. Its like trying to race with a tilting wheel that wont lock in place. My other complaint is with the software that comes with the wheel. There is no way of assigning the buttons to any of the F-Function keys. I play the NASCAR 2003 game and you use the F-keys ALOT during race. Another irratation is setting up to use the clutch pedal. I managed to make it work once, but next time could not make it work. Its on the same axis as the brake and there is no way to split it off.
I really thought this was going to be a great wheel for me, but I would have been just as well off the buy a much simpler, cheaper wheel.

    Fun while it lasted...4
I bought this wheel for use with GTR2, Race, Richard Burns Rally and the like. The force feedback is excellent. The mechanism is very strong, but also very quiet. It makes for a very engaging experience with the games listed above.

Build quality and materials are not in the same league as the Logitech G25, but keep in mind it's less than half it's price.

Unfortunately I'll be packing mine up to send it back for a replacement. Only two days after using it the force feedback mechanism broke. Mid-turn I heard a snap, and the wheel went loose. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the replacement will hold up.

I gave it a 4 star rating because while it worked it was very good. I'll give Thrustmaster the benefit of the doubt that the unit I received was in fact defective and this was not the result of a design flaw.

One thing I should mention - I couldn't seem to get the analog paddles on the wheel to work independently of the clutch pedal. I normally don't use the clutch in games though, so it wasn't a big problem for me.

    Interesting3
Well, this one is interesting. I like the fact that it has a shifter and large pedals and isn't extremely sensitive when you turn it a little bit. In other words, the car will only move slightly, not suddenly jerk to the left or right like I've experienced with other wheels. When I received it, the T plate in the middle had fallen off, but that didn't bother me too much. What did was the fact that there's a light in the middle that shines quite brightly and distracted me for the 1st few days until I got used to it. Anyway, after about 29 days of abuse (I play on it a good hour or so a day), I heard a crack and come to find out, I broke a gear inside so now whenever I turn it left, it makes a really annoying squeak. It's not one that can be covered up by using headphones (to hear the sound from whatever game one's playing) and is hear able over loud volumes. Since, I've purchased a new PS2 wheel that works GREAT with PC. Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel is the wheel I use now. Just install the drivers for the Wingman Logitech wheel and you're all set (be sure to plug it in though, otherwise it won't be recignized by your PC).

    Cheers.

    A little flimsy3
This is the 3rd wheel I've bought in about 5 years. The feedback effects are pretty good, and you can adjust the strength, aggresivivty and static force with a linear slider. I had to buy a new wheel because on my last 2, (Sidewinder and MOMO) the pedals broke, and there is no way to fix them unless you happen to have some custom tools, and the right size springs. That isn't the problen with this one. This time the clamp stripped itself out. they use a metal pin that fits into a plastic screw hole, and the more aggresive you set the effects, the tighter you have to clamp it down. Yes, the shifter is sequential, but I like that personally. It's got 4 wheel mounted shifter levers, and 8 buttons. However programming profiles into it is a mystery. So long as your game has a wheel configuration mode you will be fine. To program it outside of a game is very confusing. There is NO documentation nor help files to guide you through it, so I gave up. Basicall it's a good system with a retarded mounting component. Now I'm off to get another Sidewinder wheel.

    Customer Service1
After emailing thrustmaster 2 times we still haven't received an address to return the defective wheel.I am very disappointed in thrustmaster .WE have an online racing team and I have only had my wheel for am month.
the wheel has a 2 year warranty but what is the use if they don't stand by their warranty

Thrustmaster Top Gun AfterBurner worth owning4
ThrustMasters Top Gun AfterBurner game controller is well worth owning.
    Pros:
    1) Best bang for your buck. (Note: Amazon.com had the best overall price.)
    2) The AfterBurner has a hefty feel to it; it looks well made. The buttons, rudder, throttle, and stick are responsive and lively during game play, flight sims especially.
    3) Its similar to Saiteks X36 in throttle/rudder and joystick design. Whereas the X36 is bulky with 2 separate units, a throttle/rudder system, a (joy)stick, making it hard to play a game with the controller(s) in your lap, the AfterBurner has joined these two units as one (which can be separated) making it easier, in my book, to use. I also like the notched throttle settings (missing on the X36). There are more than enough buttons (8) when combined with the ThrustMapper software to make custom game settings. These custom game "Pre-Sets," once created by you, make game playing a delight.
    Cons:
    1) Supplied CDs ThrustMapper software would not run on either of my 2 PCs (both run Windows 98SE). Downloaded ThrustMapper V2.33 from us.thrustmaster.com and this corrected the problem.
    2) Front-end learning curve using ThrustMapper to create Pre-Sets. But, once mastered, Pre-Sets work great.
    3) Unlike the X36 mapping software that tries to locate every game on your PC, when creating Pre-Sets you must browse for your game executables. A bit awkward if you have multiple partitions with games installed all over the place.
    ...

Nice feel, poor construction, and NO customer service1
I have owned the Afterburner for three months as a flight sim controler. While it worked, I was pleased with its performance. Ergonomically, I fit my hand well, the sensitivity of the stick was quite good, the large throttle control gives far better control than the sliders and dials on most non-HOTAS systems. My only qualms were that there were not enough buttons, and the rudder bar on the throttle worked poorly (however since the stick also has a twist control I did not care).

So I liked the stick... UNTIL it broke. One day I was dogfighting in Il-2 and suddenly heard a loud crack. After that the twist-rudder control no longer worked. I tried to contact Thrustmaster customer service and found out that it is non-existant. The phone number in the manual leads to a recorded message that tells you to use their website and then hangs up on you. So I went to website and filed service request there and received no response. After a couple of weeks I did it again with the same result. Finally, I sent emails to every thrustmaster e-mail address I could find on the site and also there was no response. This product comes with a ONE YEAR WARRANTY, however do not expect them to live up to their legal commitment. The management of Thrustmaster has built a wall around itself so tall that customers can never get through to them. (Oh, I also should mention that the manual explains that you cannot just send you broken product to them - "No packages will be accepted without a valid RMA number from a service represenative."

This is a disgusting way to treat customers, and I will never buy another Thrustmaster product again.

    Great joystick!4
I really like this joystick. I went from a handheld controller to this joystick and there is a BIG difference in the amount of control and accuracy when flying simulators (MS Flt.Sim 2002) and combat flights (MS Combat flt. sim 2).
One drawback is that the throttle control is a bit too close to the main joystick when attached, which makes your wrists bend a bit uncomfortably. You can separate the throttle but then the base of the throttle and joystick are a bit unstable and you need a lot of table space to use in this configuration (but it's more comfortable).
One other drawback is that the buttons on the main joystick are a bit awkward. One of them is on the right side, above the trigger button, so you can't pull the trigger and hit this button at the same time unless you use your middle finger for the trigger and your index finger for the other button. The thumb buttons on the back are great and so are the buttons on the throttle.
All in all, I'm really happy with this joystick and would recommend it to all!

    Don't buy from this company1
Here's a hard lesson learned about the Guillemont Company from me. I have been trying to get this company to honor their warranty since Sept. Please note that they received my unit in Oct.....I started this process in Sept. It is now my crusade to spread the news about them.

I have been waiting since early October for them to repair my joystick only to find out now that they don't have the parts and are now making excuses for not replacing my unit. My patience has run it's course, and I'm tired of waiting for this company to do it's legal duty under it's published warranty.
It is my intent to spend considerable amounts of personal time to generate negative advertisment and commentary via Flight Sim forums and their associated sites, all retail sites that have "review" areas, and resellers, to warn the user public of your product's useful service life and your crappy customer response. I'm sure any potential customers would appreciate knowing how your company does business. I hope that the damage to your company's reputation will be considerably more than if you would have treated me fairly from the start.

    Weak-Weak-Weak1
The Force Feedback on this unit is pale at best.

One of my Flight Sim buds and I bought one of these at the same
time and we are both disappointed with it.

The look and feel of the stick is good - but save your money if you want a Force Feedback stick.

    Happy Customer4
This is a grea joystick, while the force feedback could be stronger, the thrustmapper utility alone more than makes up for that.

Add to that the detachable fullsize throttle and the switchable rudder axis (twist handle or rocker on throttle) as well as how well everything fits your hand and you will certainly be as satisfied as i am with this joystick.
